Archery World Cup 2025 Madrid: Jyothi Leads India to 3 Medal Finish

The Indian archer bagged three medals- one silver, two bronze at the Archery World Cup 2025 Stage -4 held at Madrid, Spain, from 8-13 July 2025. Jyothi Surekha Vennam featured in all three medals won by the Indians at the Madrid leg of the 2025 Archery World Cup. The Indian team finished 8th in the medal table, which the South Korean archers topped with 9 medals - 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze.

All the medals were won in the compound event as the recurve team failed to win a single medal in Madrid.

Silver Medal 

• Jyothi Surekha Vennam lost in the final of the women’s compound individual event to Britain's Ella Gibson.
• Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur and Prithika Pradeep lost to the Chinese Taipei in the final of the women’s compound team event.

Bronze Medal 

• Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Rishabh Yadav in the mixed team compound event.

Indian Performance in the 2025 Archery World Cup

The 2025 Archery World Cup consisted of four stages, culminating in a final scheduled to take place in Nanjing, China, in October this year.

In the four stages of the 2025 Archery Cup, the Indian Archery team won a total of 14 medals —three gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals.

Stage -1 - held at Auburndale, USA. India won four medals - one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Stage -2 -held at Shanghai, China. India won seven medals, including two gold, one silver, and four bronze.

Stage -3 - held at Antalya, Turkiye. India failed to win a single medal.

Stage -4 - held in Madrid,Spain. India won three medals - 2 silver and one bronze.
