The 19-year-old Antim Panghal of Haryana became the only Indian player to win two gold medals at the U20 World Wrestling Championship. She won her gold medal match by beating Mariia Yefremova of Ukraine in the final at the 2023 World Under-20 Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan .
Earlier she had won a gold at the World Under-20 Wrestling Championships 2022 held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Indian team finished their campaign at the World Under-20 Wrestling Championships 2023 with 14 medals - four gold, three silver and seven bronze.
The World Under-20 Wrestling Championships 2023 was held in Amman, Jordan from 14 -20 August 2023 organised by the United World Wrestling.
Only players below 20 years of age participate in the World Under-20 Wrestling Championships.
