Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Exam to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Provincial Civil Services. The exam recruits candidates for state-level services who can later be promoted as IAS officers later in their careers.
The conducting authority has released the official notification for the exam on 5 February 2021 and the registration process has commenced from the same day. The last day to apply for the examination is 5 March 2021 and the candidates can submit the receipt of examination fee on-line in the bank till 2 March 2021. The candidates can apply through the official website of the conducting authority. There are a total of 400 vacancies for the post.

What are the eligibility criteria for UPPSC PCS 2021?
The candidates must fulfill the below-given requirements to be eligible for the exam:
Age Limit: The candidates applying for this exam should have completed 21 years of age on 1 July 2021. Also, one should not be more than 40 years of age. That is, the applicant should not be born before July 2, 1981 and not later than July 1, 2000.

What is the selection process for UPPSC PCS 2021?
The exam has three stages, viz. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The candidates must pass all three stages of the UPPCS exam to qualify the exam.
Preliminary Exam: Prelims exam is the first stage of the UPPCS selection process. UPPSC conducts the prelims exam across the state in offline mode and around eight lakh candidates appear in this exam.
Main Exam: The candidates who qualify the prelims are eligible to appear in the main exam. There are a total of 8 papers of a total of 1500 marks in this stage.
Interview: This is the final step of the selection process and consists of 100 marks. The candidates who clear this round qualify for the PCS examination.
