On the official website of the SSC, online registration forms are now available. Eligible aspirants can apply for this recruitment exam till 16th August 2023. Step 2: Navigate to the apply button and click on it.
Step 3: If you are a new user, then you have to create your profile. A registration ID will be assigned to you.
Step 4: After creating a profile, click on the JE button.

Step 6: Now, log in using your registration number and password, then verify all the details mentioned in the form and click on submit button.

Note: Before submitting your application form, candidates must check a few things, so their form will not get rejected. Aspirants should check the following things when submitting their application form as follows:
JPEG or JPG format should be used for passport-size photos (20 KB to 50 KB). The photo's picture size should be around 3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm high. The photograph should not be older than three months at the time of application.
Scanned signatures should be uploaded in JPEG /JPG format (10 to 20 KB). The signature's image should be around 4.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high. Applications with blurred signatures will be rejected.

After qualifying the first phase of junior engineer recruitment, the candidates will be called for phase 2 examination. In phase 2 engineering knowledge of the candidates is measured through written examination. In this exam, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The standard of the questions in Engineering subjects will be approximately of the level of Diploma in Engineering (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics) from a recognized Institute, Board or University recognized by All India Board of Technical Education. (i) General Intelligence & Reasoning: The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgement, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.
(ii) General Awareness: Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity and Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
