The government of India-owned public sector broadcaster Prasar Bharati has launched its own OTT (Over the Top Platform) named WAVES. The platform will broadcast the new and old content of the Doordarshan (DD), All India Radio (AIR) and other content providers.
The WAVES was unveiled by Prasar Bharati at the 55th International Film Festival of India at Panaji, Goa, on 20 November 2024.
Goa, which is the permanent venue of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is hosting the 55th edition of the IFFI from 20-28 November 2024.
The WAVES platform of the Prasar Bharati was launched by Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa on the opening day of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI)
The WAVES platform is a digital platform developed by Prasar Bharati which will provide media contents to the users on demand through the internet.
The WAVES platform will have new and old shows of Doordarshan, All India Radio and other content service providers.
The media content on the WAVES platform will be in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Assamese and English.
The Union Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched the Bhu-Neer Portal as a one-stop platform for managing and regulating groundwater resources, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in groundwater usage across the country.
The Bhu-Neer Portal was launched by the Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R.Paatil at the concluding ceremony of the India Water Week in New Delhi.
The Bhu-Neer portal has been developed by the Central Ground Water Authority under the Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The Bhu- Neer portal will provide the legal provision regarding the groundwater usage and extractions and the regulation made by the central and various state governments.
It will have a centralised data that will allow the user access critical information on groundwater compliance, policies, and sustainable practices.
