Skytrax Awards, 2026: 'World’s Best Airport' Singapore Changi

Singapore Changi Airport has been declared the 'Airport of the Year 2026' at the World Airport Awards 2026 ceremony held at PTE World in London.

Singapore Changi Airport, which has won the world’s best airport award 13 times, also received four other major awards: World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport in the 60–70 million passengers category, World’s Best Airport Immigration Service, and Best Airport in Asia.

According to the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has been included among the top 30 airports in the world; it is the only Indian airport to do so this year.

According to the 2026 results, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has reached 28th position worldwide. In 2025, it was at 32nd position.

Delhi Airport has also won the title of 'Best Airport in India and South Asia' for the eighth consecutive year, further strengthening its position as India’s leading international hub.

Other achievements of Delhi Airport

Apart from the global top-30 ranking, IGI has also made impressive progress in several major categories: Third position in the world among airports handling more than 70 million passengers: Delhi Airport is now ranked third globally in the category of airports handling more than 70 million passengers, which is a big jump from last year’s eighth position.

Highly rated staff and passenger services: It has also secured second position in the category of 'Best Airport Staff in India and South Asia' and seventh position among the world’s best 'layover' airports, reflecting its strong focus on service.

Other Indian winners of Skytrax Awards 2026

Best Airport Staff in India and South Asia: Hyderabad Airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport). It was honored for the best staff for the fifth time and ranked 43rd globally.

Cleanest Airport in India and South Asia: Manohar International Airport (Mopa-Goa). It received recognition for cleanliness for the second consecutive year and ranked 64th globally.

Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia: Bangalore Airport and ranked 41st globally.
