Defence Ministry Launches Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App

The Union Defence Ministry launched the Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App on 25 December 2024 on the occasion of Good Governance Day. Since 2014 the government of India has observed Good Governance Day on the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Who launched the Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App?
The Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App was launched by Defence Secretary Rajesh Singh in New Delhi on 25 December 2024.
Feature of the Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App
The Rashtraparv Website & Mobile App will provide information to the users on;
- Information related to the organisation of national events organised by the ministry like Republic Day, Beating Retreat Ceremony, Independence Day, etc.
- It will also livestream such events, provide a facility to purchase tickets for such events, provide information related to seating arrangements & route maps of events, etc.
- It will host a Tableau Management Portal to facilitate States/ UTs and Union Ministries/ Departments in designing and finalizing their tableaux for the Republic Day event.
Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas theme of 2025 Republic Day Tableaux
The Union Ministry of Defence has chosen ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ as the theme of tableaux of the states/Union Territories and central government ministries/departments for the 2025 Republic Day celebration in New Delhi.
The theme was decided by the ministry in consultation with the states and the Union Territories.
The Republic Day celebration is held on the Kartavya path (earlier known as Rajpath) in New Delhi.
States/UT to display Tableaux on 2025 Republic Day
This year the expert committee of the Union Defence Ministry has selected the following 15 states/Union Territories -Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Dadar Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Haryana, Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal- to display their tableaux on Kartavya Path on 26 January 2025.
11 Ministries/ Department of central governments have also been selected for the 2025 Republic Day celebration
The tableaux display India’s culture, heritage, and its history.
