The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC Constable (GD) Notification on 18 November 2023 and candidates will be able to apply for the vacancies from 24 November onwards. The Staff Selection Commission holds a national-level exam called SSC Constable (General Duty) to recruit candidates for the positions of Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman (General Duty). 

Through this recruitment exam, vacancies of General Duty Constable in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau are filled in. The GD Constables are in charge of many crucial responsibilities. 

SSC GD Exam Pattern 2024 (Revised)

Computer Based Examination (CBE)

The SSC GD Constable Written Exam Pattern has been changed by the Staff Selection Commission in 2022. To better grasp the exam, candidates can review the revised SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern provided below — 

  • The computer-based examination will consist of one objective-type paper with 80 questions each carrying two marks.
  • All questions will be Objective type based on Multiple Choices and will be administered only in English and Hindi.
  • For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks.
