Many students in Uttar Pradesh are aspiring to become Police officers and are eagerly awaiting official notification. Some UP Police aspirants are concerned that the selection process for police officers is unfair and that some candidates are given preferential treatment. To address this issue, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB), Lucknow announced that the normalization system will be implemented in the upcoming recruitment examinations.
This system is intended to ensure that the UP Police selection process is fair to all candidates and that the best candidates are chosen for the job. This article will describe the new UP Police Normalization formula, how it works, and its significance.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) issued a notice on 18 December 2023 regarding the normalization marks in the selection process of Police personnel.
As per the official notice issued on the official website (uppbpb.gov.in), a provision has been made in various service manuals to the effect that in case the written examination is conducted in two or more shifts, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board will consider the normalization of candidates’ marks.
After studying the process of normalization in the case of conducting multi-shift examinations by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), the UPPRPB has decided that the UP Police Department will follow the following procedure for normalization in the written examination.
