If you start late, you will have to devote more time to your daily schedule of NDA preparation timetables than those who began their preparation a few months ago.

So, if the answer is yes, we must now discuss the strategy that must be followed in order to prepare for and pass the NDA on the first try.

Preparation Tips for NDA/NA (2) 2023

Understand the Exam Pattern

Understand the NDA exam pattern, including the subjects, marking scheme, and time allocation for each section. This will assist you in allocating your study time more effectively.

Create an Effective Study Schedule

Begin by creating a loosely structured timetable. In most cases, candidates create an unrealistic timetable. So, instead of putting too much pressure on yourself, take it slowly and gradually increase your study hours.

Divide your 60 days into specific study periods for each subject. Allocate more time to subjects/topics you find challenging and less time to those you are already comfortable with. To avoid burnout, plan regular breaks into your schedule.

Subject-Wise Approach for Better NDA 2 Preparation

When studying for the NDA exam, you should concentrate on each subject separately.

Because there is negative marking and a sectional cutoff, accuracy is more important than speed in this exam. As a result, the first rule of exam preparation should be to aim for accuracy first, then speed. You should try to answer as many questions correctly as possible in the time allotted.

The written examination is divided into two papers, i.e. Paper - I: Mathematics and PAper-II: General Ability Test. The Mathematics paper is worth 300 marks, and the General Ability Test (GAT) paper is worth 600 marks. For the GAT, you should concentrate on the English language and general knowledge.

NDA Preparation Tips for Mathematics Paper

Devote your first 15 days entirely to NDA Mathematics Preparation; this section requires more attention because if you fail this paper, your GAT paper will not be checked. Dedicate sufficient time to brush up on your mathematical skills, with formulas you will be able to solve questions quickly. Cover topics like arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and mensuration. Practice solving problems from textbooks, workbooks, and sample papers. Maths is very easy if you focus on time management while solving questions.

NDA Preparation Tips for General Ability Test (GAT) Paper

“Devote the next 10 (16-25) days to NDA English Language Preparation.”

English Language: The paper's English section will assess your command of the English language, grammar, and comprehension. Being fluent in the language and having a large vocabulary will help you prepare for the NDA in English.

Reading is the best way to prepare for a language exam. Reading a good newspaper will not only improve your vocabulary but will also keep you updated on current events. Work on your vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension by attempting NDA Mock Tests and Quizzes. Regularly practice previous year's question papers to get familiar with the repetitive pattern of the questions.

General Knowledge

“Devote the next 20 (26-45) days to NDA General Knowledge Preparation.”

The GK Paper includes questions from General Science, Indian history, Freedom Movement, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and Current Affairs.

  • Physics topics are given the most weightage in the science section. This section contains fewer numerical questions and more conceptual questions.

  • For the current events section, stay updated with current affairs, especially related to defence, national, and international events. This is the most important part of GAT Paper as it makes up about 30-40 per cent.

  • Make it a point to read up on important military exercises and defence technology, as these will be covered in the NDA exam. You should also be aware of recent deals and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed by the Indian Army, Navy, and Airforce. To gather information, read newspapers, magazines, and online sources. Solve previous years' question papers to get a sense of the types of questions that will be asked.

Last 15 days Tips for NDA 2

Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers

Regularly attempt NDA (2) Mock Test and solve previous year's question papers to assess your preparation level and identify areas of improvement. Regular self-evaluation will help you not only track your progress but will also help you improve your speed and accuracy. This will also help you familiarise yourself with the exam format and gain confidence.

Revision

Spend the last week of your preparation thoroughly revising. Review your preparation notes, practise important formulas, and take the NDA Quiz to strengthen your weak points.

Physical and Mental Fitness

Physical fitness is essential for defence examinations. In order to stay fit and maintain stamina, incorporate regular exercise, outdoor activities, and sports into your daily routine. Spend some time meditating in the morning and evening. This will assist you in remembering the information for a longer period of time.

Stay Motivated and Stay Healthy

Maintain a positive attitude, stay motivated, and have faith in your abilities. Getting enough rest before the exam will help you stay calm and perform better in it. Remember to eat a balanced diet and take short breaks for relaxation.

To summarise, preparing for the NDA exam in 60 days takes a lot of hard work and dedication. You can pass the exam with the right approach and consistent effort. Best wishes for your exam!
