Voice of ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 countdown, N Valarmathi dies

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist N Valaramathi died due to cardiac arrest in Chennai on 3 September 2023. She had the distinction of lending her voice during the countdown to several rocket launches of ISRO.
She last lent her voice to the rocket countdown during the launch of Chandrayaan -3 in July from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota,Andhra Pradesh.
India became the fourth country in the world after the Soviet Union (now Russia) ,
the U S and China to land a craft on the moon. Also ,India became the first country in the world to land a craft named Vikram at the south pole of the moon on 23 August 2023 . The rover Pragyaan which was carried by the lander has been put to sleep by ISRO after 14 days of exploration of the polar region of the moon.
