Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the two-day (8 to 9 December) Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit at the Forest Research Institute, FRI, Dehradun on 8 December 2023. The main objective of this conference is to establish Uttarakhand as a new center of investment.

Referring to the tourism sector, Prime Minister Modi said that there is immense potential for investment in tourism in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the countrymen to get married in the country instead of organising weddings abroad and asked them to establish Uttarakhand as a destination wedding.

House of Himalayas Brand:

On this occasion, the Prime Minister also launched the House of Himalayas Brand of Women Self-Help Groups of Uttarakhand.
The Prime Minister said that with this brand, the work of making 2 crore rural women millionaires can be completed rapidly.
The Prime Minister also went to see a show related to the Global Investors Summit.
Thousands of investors and industry groups from India and abroad are participating in this conference.
