About Bharat Mandapam
The PM inaugurated the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on July 26 which was named Bharat Mandapam.
The name ‘Bharat Mandapam' is the inspiration of ‘Anubhav Mandapam’ of Bhagwan Basaveshwara. Bhagwan Basaveshwar or Basavanna was a 12th-century philosopher, known for Socio-Religious Reforms, Vachana Literature and Lingayat Movement in south India.
