The Dassault Aviation company of France has announced that it will build an assembly line in India to manufacture the Falcon 2000LXS business executive jet. This was announced at the 2025 Paris Air Show.
The first made in India Falcon 2000 LXS plane is expected to roll out in 2028.
For the first time, Dassault will manufacture its Falcon 2000 LXS executive business jet outside France, which will cater to both Indian and the global market.
Dassault is also the manufacturer of the Rafale fighter jets. In June 2025, Dassault Aviation signed an agreement with Tata Advanced Systems Limited to manufacture the fuselage of the fighter jets in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad plant is expected to start production in 2028.
This is the first time in Dassault Aviation's history that its Rafale fighter fuselage will be manufactured outside France.
The Falcon 2000 LXS business executive jet will be manufactured at the Dassault Reliance Aviation Ltd, Nagpur facility in the Mihan special economic zone (SEZ), Maharashtra.
Dassault Reliance Aviation Ltd is a joint venture between Dassault Aviation and Reliance Aerostructure Limited.
Reliance Aerostructure Limited is a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Limited. It is owned by Anil Ambani.
The Dassault Reliance Aviation Limited was established in 2017.
The company will invest in expanding the facility in the Nagpur plant to build a new assembly line for the final assembly of the Falcon Jets.
Until now, the company has assembled over 100 major subsections for the Falcon 2000 plane.
Now it will assemble the full plane.
India will become the fifth country in the world that have the capability to manufacture business executive jets. At present France, Canada, Brazil and the United States of America produce such types of planes.
