What is SSC GD?
SSC Constable (General Duty) is a popular exam among aspirants because of its eligibility criteria, salary, and the pride attached to working in the security forces. SSC GD Constable Exam is a national level exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman (General Duty) in the following Central Armed Police Forces.

Eligibility Criteria –
Nationality / Citizenship – The candidate must be a citizen of India. The vacancies are state/UT wise, so a candidate must submit the domicile/PCR against his state/UT.
Age Limit – Candidate’s age should be 18-23 years as of 01.08.2021. Applicants should be born not later than 01.08.2003 and earlier than 02.08.1998.
The age relaxations admissible for different categories are as follows –

Educational Qualification – Candidate Must Have Passed Class 10 From A Recognized Board as on 01.08.2021.
To be eligible for this exam, one should have the above qualification.
The incentive to NCC certificate holders – Incentive will be given to ‘NCC Certificate’ holders on the following scales:
Incentive/ Bonus marks
NCC ‘C’ Certificate
5% of the maximum marks of the exam
NCC ‘B’ Certificate
3% of the maximum marks of the exam
NCC ‘A’ Certificate
2% of the maximum marks of the exam
Examination Fee – The application fee is ₹100/-. Women candidates & candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), & Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.
Selection Process – Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test / Detailed Medical Examination / Review Medical Examination is a part of the selection process. Candidates who will qualify for the exam will have to appear for document verification.

- After that, log in to the candidates with the help of their registration number and password.
- Then you can apply for SSC GD by clicking on the link of the latest notification.

Keep these things in mind while applying –
- The scanned colour passport in JPEG format should be of size 20 kb – 50 kb.
- The photograph should not be more than three months old.
- The date mentioned in the picture should be clear.
- Application without the date on the photo will be rejected.
- The image dimensions of the photograph should be approximately 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- The photo must be without a cap. Glasses (if any) and both ears should be visible.
Exam Syllabus –
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude & ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This section may include questions on similarities & differences, analogies, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning & figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, etc.
General Knowledge & General Awareness: Questions in this section will be aimed to test the candidate’s general awareness. Questions in the paper will be designed to test knowledge of current events & matters of everyday observations & experience in their scientific aspect. The paper will include questions relating to India & its neighbouring countries, especially about sports, History, Geography, Culture, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific research, etc. These Questions will not require a particular study of any discipline.
Elementary Mathematics: In this paper, questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals & Fractions & relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time & Distance, Ratio & Time, Time and Work, etc.
English/ Hindi: Candidate’s ability to understand Basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.
