Officers in Grade 'A' are expected to actively contribute in the following key operational areas of the Bank:

a. Enhancing credit penetration in MSME, Microfinance, and Startup/Venture Capital sectors through both direct and indirect credit delivery and monitoring mechanisms.

b. Playing a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship and skill development activities within the MSME sector. This involves fostering collaboration and coordination with diverse stakeholders.

c. Servingas key contributors to Business Analytics and the decision-making process by regularly gathering market feedback and conducting research. Officers are responsible for updating the Management on trends in their respective areas/clusters, assisting the Bank in prioritizing new initiatives and projects.

d. Participating in internal management/administration, control, and monitoring functions to ensure the Bank's adaptability and responsiveness amidst the changing dynamics of the MSME sector and the overall economy.

e. Undertaking any other assignments as directed by the Bank from time to time.

To apply for the SIDBI Assistant Manager 2023, candidates should check the eligibility criteria first. Nationality

To be eligible for the SIDBI Assistant Manager post, candidates must fall into one of the following categories:

(i) A citizen of India

(ii) A subject of Nepal

(iii) A subject of Bhutan

(iv) Being a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement

(v) Being a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must hold one of the following educational qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate. The degree should be from Universities/Institutions recognized by the Government of India (GoI) or UGC.

OR

  • Qualification as a CA/CS/CWA/CFA/CMA.

OR

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate from Universities/Institutions recognized by the Government of India (GoI), UGC, or AICTE.

Work Experience 

To apply for the SIDBI Grade A post a minimum of 2 years of experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks/All India Financial Institutions, focusing on MSME lending (excluding personal loans, educational loans, vehicle loans, housing loans, etc.), OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in systemically important NBFCs, specifically in MSME lending, non-individual lending, or corporate lending.

SIDBI Assistant Manager Application Process

To apply for SIDBI Grade A Recruitment, candidates are required to submit their online application form between November 8 and November 28, 2023, by following these steps:

  1. Firstly, start by visiting the official website of the Small Industries Development Bank of India.
  2. On the homepage, click on "Careers" located at the top. This action will lead to a new page displaying all current recruitments.
  3. Select "Application for Assistant Manager ‘Grade-A’ in General Stream" and then navigate to "SIDBI invites Applications for Recruitment of Officers in Grade ‘A’– General Stream." Subsequently, click on "Click here to apply online."
  4. Register for the application process by choosing the tab "Click here for New Registration" and entering your Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
  5. Upon entering your credentials, the system will generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password, both of which will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Login with the Registration Number and Password, and begin filling in the required details in the SIDBI Grade A Application Form 2023.
  7. Upload the necessary documents as per the specified dimensions: Photograph (4.5 cm 3.5 cm), signature (with black ink), left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink), and a handwritten declaration (on white paper with black ink).
  8. Pay the required application fee online and submit the duly filled application form well before the deadline, which is November 28, 2023.
  9. Take a printout of the final submission page for future reference.

SIDBI Assistant Manager 2023 Selection Process

The selection process aims to assess candidates comprehensively, considering their qualifications, suitability, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall suitability for the Assistant Manager post at SIDBI.

Preliminary Screening:

  • Initial review of online applications to shortlist eligible candidates based on prescribed qualifications, experience, and information provided in the application form and uploaded documents.

Psychometric Test:

  • Shortlisted candidates undergo an online Psychometric Test or another suitable test.

The initial basic salary for SIDBI Grade A Assistant Manager is Rs. 44,500, and the pay scale is structured as follows: Rs. 44,500 - 2,500 (4) - 54,500 - 2,850 (7) – 74,450 - EB - 2,850 (4) – 85,850 - 3,300 (1) - 89,150 (17 years). The total net monthly salary for SIDBI Grade A, inclusive of dearness allowances, house rent allowances, and other benefits, amounts to approximately Rs. 90,000.
