  1. A minimum of 4 years of experience as an officer or in an equivalent role within Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), Corporate Entities, or the BFSI sector is required.
  2. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a similar functional area.

Risk Management - Information Security Group (ISG)

Assistant General Manager (Grade C) 

  1. Candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics & Communications, Electrical, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, BCA, or BSc in Computer Science/IT from a university recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
  2. Alternatively, candidates with an MCA/MSc in Computer Science/IT from a similarly recognized university are eligible. Manager (Grade B) 

A B.Tech/B.E. degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics, with a dual specialization where one of the specializations should be in Civil or Electrical Engineering, obtained from a university recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies is required.

Security - Security

Manager (Grade B)

A degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies is required.

  1. A minimum of four years of Commissioned Service, not below the rank of Captain (in the Indian Army or equivalent rank in the Indian Navy/Air Force), Assistant Superintendent/Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Commandant/Deputy Commandant (in the Indian Police/Paramilitary Forces) is required. 
  2. Among this experience, at least two years should be in a relevant function area as an officer. 
  3. Candidates with officer experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) will be given preference.

IDBI Specialist Cadre Officers 2024 Selection Process

Candidates don’t have to appear in any IDBI SO Exam to get selected as an IDBI Specialist Cadre Officer. As there is no exam and IDBI SO Syllabus as well for managerial posts. For IDBI SO positions, the Bank will first check if you meet the age, education, and work experience requirements. The bank might only invite a few people for the selection process based on how many positions they have. They'll pick these people based on their qualifications and experience. The best candidates will then have a Group Discussion and/or a Personal Interview.
