The 26th National Integration and Youth Leadership Camp has begun in Itanagar. Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) of Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated it. The Camp is attended by about 1,000 children, including 250 youth from several states in the NorthEast Region. The Governor recommended that students be encouraged to join the National Cadet Corps and the Bharat Scouts and Guides Organisation.

- The camp was organised by the social, voluntary, and philanthropic association 'Central Calcutta Science and Culture Organisation for Youth'.
- These camps contribute to the creation of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat' in which numerous states with diverse cultures live in peace and harmony.
