Union Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy and Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma were present during the inaugural session of India Steel 2025.

The India Steel 2025 is a mega exhibition-cum-conference on the Indian steel industry. It has emerged as the main platform for exhibiting key priorities in steel production, equipment manufacturers and solution suppliers and working out a strategy for the steel industry's future development.
It brings together the government, captains of the steel industry, and steel industry professionals from India and abroad.
In the 6th India Steel conference, over 250 exhibitors from 15 countries are participating.
The Government of India announced the New Steel Policy in 2017 to make India a hub of the global steel industry.
It set certain targets for the steel industry.
