Mizoram has become the first state in the country to operationalise an Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Microsite . The ABDM Micoriste was operationalised in Mizoram's capital Aizawl on 23 August 2023 . Earlier the National Health Authority (NHA) which is the implementing authority of ABDM in the country had announced 100 Microsites projects for accelerated adoption of ABDM across the country.
NHA had launched Microsites pilot projects in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Surat. After its successful implementation, NHA announced 100 Microsites projects in the country . More such microsites are expected to be operational in the next few weeks.
The ABDM Microsites are defined geographical regions where focused outreach efforts would be made to onboard small and medium scale private healthcare providers. These Microsites would be majorly implemented by State Mission Directors of ABDM while the financial resources and overall guidance would be provided by NHA.
Under ABDM Microsites all healthcare facilities including the private clinics, small hospitals and labs in the region shall be made ABDM-enabled and will offer digital health services to the patients.
The National Health Authority is the successor of the National Health Agency. The National Health Agency was reconstituted as the National Health Authority on 2nd January 2019.
National Health Authority (NHA) is the apex body responsible for implementing India’s flagship public health insurance/assurance scheme called “Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana” .
It has been entrusted with the role of designing strategy, building technological infrastructure and implementation of “National Digital Health Mission '' to create a National Digital Health Ecosystem.
