MPPSC SSE Preliminary 2023, designed to fulfil staffing needs for the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Services, will take place on 17 December 2023. MPPSC PCS Prelim Exam Schedule 2023 

MPPSC PCS Exam is all set to take place on 17 December 2023 in two sessions, i.e. Paper 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon (General Studies) & Paper 2 from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM (General Aptitude Test). Look at this table below for a clear picture of the Exam Timings:-

MPPSC PCS Exam Day Instructions 

Before appearing in the Madhya Pradesh PCS Prelim Exam 2023, you should be aware of the following major points:-

  1. Admit Card and ID: Ensure you have your admit card printed and a valid photo ID (such as an Aadhaar card, passport, or driving licence) before leaving for the exam centre.
  2. Reach Early: Plan your journey in advance and aim to reach the exam centre at least 30–45 minutes before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush or stress.
  3. Items to Carry: Carry only necessary items such as an admit card, ID, required stationery (as per guidelines), and a water bottle. Avoid bringing electronic devices, calculators, or any prohibited items.
  4. Be Positive: Maintain a positive attitude, as positivity can boost your confidence, improve your concentration, and enhance overall performance. 
  5. Avoid Cramming: Don’t cram at the last moment, as this will lead to confusion. Stick to the formulas and techniques that you learned in the days of preparation. 
  6. Dress Comfortable: Choose clothing that suits the weather and is comfortable, steering clear of flashy or extravagant outfits. As per the official instructions issued by the commission, candidates are not allowed to wear shoes at exam centre. Accessories such as belt, clutcher, bracelets and earrings are also prohibitted. 
  7. Sleep well & eat healthy: Prioritize adequate sleep the night before the exam and consume healthy food. Avoid excessive water intake before the exam to prevent disruptions.

Dos & Don'ts At Exam Centre

Want to know some dos and don'ts that you should remember when you are in the Exam Centre of MPPSC PCS Exam 2023? Look at these points to make yourself exam-ready:-

Dos

  1. Stay Calm: Keep a calm and composed mindset during the exam. If you face difficulty with a question, don’t panic; move on to the next and revisit it later if time permits.
  2. Exam Hall Regulations: Follow the instructions given by the invigilators and abide by the rules of the examination hall. Maintain silence and avoid any form of misconduct.
  3. Time Management: Manage time wisely, allocating it for each section and question to complete within the allotted time frame.
  4. Review Your Answers: Review the entire paper, correcting any mistakes or omissions  if time allows.
  5. Submission Protocol: Submit your answer sheet only when the invigilator instructs. Ensure all required details are filled in properly before leaving the exam hall.
  6. Read Instructions Carefully: Before starting the exam, thoroughly read the instructions on the question paper and answer sheet. Understand the marking scheme and time allocation for paper.
  7. Stay Hydrated: Carry a water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the exam to maintain concentration.
  8. Start with Easier Questions: Begin with questions you find simpler to boost confidence and manage time efficiently.
  9. Exam Day Checklist: Candidates must bring one official government photo ID in original, such as a passport, PAN card, voter identification card, Aadhaar card, etc., for their MPPSC Pre Exam, along with two passport-size photos.
  10. Most importantly don't forget to carry a Black Ball Point Pen.

Don’ts

  1. Irrelevant Materials: Refrain from bringing study materials, notes, or books into the examination centre.
  2. Writing on the Question Paper: Writing anything else, except for your roll number, is not allowed.
  3. Communication: Avoid any form of communication or interaction with fellow candidates during the examination.
  4. Avoid Distractions: Refrain from engaging in conversations or any form of wrongdoing during the exam.
  5. Avoid Rushing: Review questions carefully; refrain from rushing through the paper to ensure thorough understanding.
  6. Avoid Cheating: Do not indulge in any form of cheating or uncivilised behaviour during the exam.
  7. Careful Marking on OMR Sheet: Be careful when marking answers on the OMR sheet. Be careful and double-check your answers.
