U P Bags the Best State Tableaux Award of Republic Day Parade 2025

The Union Ministry of Defence has announced the winners of the best Marching Contingents and Tableaux of the Republic Day Parade 2025. The Uttar Pradesh Tableaux, which showcased the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, was adjudged the best amongst the State and the Union Territories category.
The Republic Day functions are organised by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, in which there is an impressive march past by the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and the other police forces. There is also a display of the vibrant culture, and traditions of India and its history depicted through Tableaux.
15 States/Union Territories and 10 Ministries/departments of central governments displayed their tableaux at the Kartavya Path in New Delhi on 26 January 2025.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was the Chief Guest at the 76th Republic Day celebration.
Award Winners of the 76th Republic Day 2025
Like previous years, there were two categories of awards. A three-judge panel selected the winners for best Marching Contingent and Tableaux in the Official category.
Another category was the Popular Choice category. Citizens of India voted on the MyGov portal from 26-28 January 2025, to pick their favourite Marching Contingent and best Tableaux.

- Best Marching Contingent among Armed Forces - Jammu & Kashmir Rifles Contingent of the Indian Army.
- Best Marching Contingent among CAPFs/other auxiliary forces - Delhi Police Marching Contingent
Tableaux
State and Union Territories
- 1st Position - Uttar Pradesh with a theme of ‘Mahakumbh 2025 - Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’.
- 2nd Position- Tripura with a theme of ‘Eternal Reverence: The worship of 14 Deities in Tripura - Kharchi Puja’.
- 3rd Position- Andhra Pradesh with a theme of ‘Etikoppaka Bommalu - Eco-Friendly Wooden Toys’.
Central Ministries/Departments
- Ministry of Tribal Affairs with a theme of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh.
Special Prize:
- Central Public Works Department with a theme of ‘75 years of Constitution of India’.
- Jayati Jai Mamah Bharatam Dance Group.
Popular Choice Category

- Best Marching Contingent among Services - Signals Contingent of the Indian Army.
- Best Marching Contingent among CAPFs/other auxiliary Forces - Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Marching Contingent.

- 1st Position- Gujarat with a theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’.
