UPSC CDS (1) Final Result 2023 Released; Download OTA Merit List PDF

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) published the UPSC CDS (I) Final Result 2023 for Officers Training Academy (OTA) on its official website on 24 January 2024. The commission has selected 347 candidates based on their performance in the Combined Defence Services Written Examination (I), 2023 and subsequent interviews with the Ministry of Defence's Services Selection Board.

UPSC CDS 1 OTA qualified candidates can look up their roll numbers and names in the CDS (I) Merit List PDF 2023, which is available on the commission's official website. Furthermore, we have provided you with an official website link to check your results easily.

UPSC CDS (1) OTA Vacancy 2023

According to the Government of India, there are a total of 203 vacancies for OTA, with the following numbers of vacancies for male and female batches of OTA Courses:

• 119th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) - 170 vacancies
• 33rd Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course - 07 vacancies

UPSC CDS (I) OTA Final Result 2023 - Overview

The written examination of CDS (I) 2023 was conducted by the commission in April 2023, followed by SSB interviews for admission to the following OTA Courses:

(i) 119th Short Service Commission Course (Men) (NT) (UPSC).

(ii) 33rd Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) (UPSC) Course.

Both courses will commence in April 2024 at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Candidates must note that the results of the Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional till the Document Verification round, in which the Verification of the Date of Birth and Educational Qualification will be done by the Army Head Quarter. How to Download UPSC CDS (I) OTA Final Result 2023?

The CDS 1 results for OTA are now available online on the commission’s website in PDF format. To access your results, follow the steps listed below:

Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the "What's New" section and click the "Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 (OTA)" link.

Step 3: A result PDF will appear on the screen with successful candidates' roll numbers and names in the Merit List sections, i.e. OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY (MEN) &  OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY (WOMEN) lists.

Step 4: Enter the roll number into the search box (Ctrl+F) to see if you qualify for the final recommendation.

Step 5: Download CDS 1's Final Result PDF for future reference.

Note: The list of the 119th Short Service Commission (Men) (Non-Tech.) (UPSC) Course also includes the names of some of the candidates who were recommended earlier based on the results of the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, Naval Academy (NA), Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).

Important

The results of candidates' medical examinations were not taken into account when preparing the merit lists. However, candidates' marks will be available on the Commission's website within 15 days of the announcement of final results for a period of 30 days.
