UGC NET 2024 Date Revised: Check New Exam Date
UGC NET June 2024 has been postponed through the notice issued on 29 April 2024. Earlier the UGC NET 2024 was scheduled to take place on 16 June 2024 but due to the UPSC CSE (Prelims) Examination – 2024 on the same date, i.e. 16 June 2024. The National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2024 on 18 June 2024.
The UGC-NET is an examination designed to establish the qualifications of Indian citizens for various academic positions and opportunities. These include being awarded a Junior Research Fellowship, becoming an Assistant Professor, and gaining admission to Ph.D. programmes. The UGC-NET for June 2024 will cover 83 subjects and will be conducted in OMR (Pen and Paper) format. UGC NET 2024 June Pattern
The UGC NET exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and serves as the qualifying examination for Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellow positions in numerous universities and colleges throughout India. Those preparing for the UGC NET 2024 should acquaint themselves with the examination pattern. Below, we outline the examination pattern for both papers.
- The examination will last for three hours (180 minutes) and will be conducted without any breaks.
- Each question across both papers is valued at two marks, and candidates will earn two marks for every correct answer.
- Except for language-specific tests, all question papers will be available in either English or Hindi.
