The Indian Army has announced vacancies for the TES 53 course through the Indian Army TES 53 Notification 2024. A total of 90 vacancies have been announced, though this number is provisional and may change based on the training capacity at the Cadets Training Wings. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on organizational requirements at the time of the course.
Indian Army TES 2024 Eligibility criteria are outlined in the Indian Army Notification. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the notification for consideration for a Permanent Commission in the Army. Eligibility Criteria typically contain nationality, age limit and educational qualifications. Check this section carefully to know the eligibility criteria in detail:-
A candidate must be an unmarried male and must fall into one of the following categories:
(i) A citizen of India,
(ii) A subject of Bhutan,
(iii) A subject of Nepal,
(iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962, to settle permanently,
(v) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and certain East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia) or Vietnam intending to settle permanently in India.
Note: Candidates falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
The required age limit for the Indian Army TES 53 course is mentioned in the Indian Army TES 53 Notification 2025. According to that candidates must be between 16½ and 19½ years old on the first day of the month in which the course begins. Specifically, candidates should be born between 02 January 2006 and 01 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).
The date of birth provided in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination certificate or an equivalent document will be the sole accepted proof of age, and no other documents will be considered. Once a date of birth has been entered into the records, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.

Step 3: If you are a new user, complete the registration process by providing the required information. Existing users can skip registration and proceed by logging in with their credentials.

Step 5: Fill in your basic information and upload the required documents such as your photograph, signature, ID proof, and any other necessary documents.
Step 6: Click the submit button once all fields are completed. You should receive a confirmation email or message verifying the successful submission of your application.

There is no application fee for the Indian Army TES 53.

The training for Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme 53 will span a total of 4 years. The training expenses are covered by the state and will be recouped from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons. The training fee for Indian Army TES 2024 is ₹13,940/- (as of 2021) and is subject to adjustment as notified periodically on a per-week basis. For a detailed view check the below points:-
(a) Phase-I: Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for three years at CME, Pune/MCTE, Mhow/MCEME, Secunderabad.
(b) Phase-II: Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for one year at IMA, Dehradun or designated PCTA (Pre Commission Training Academy).
(c) Degree Award: Upon successful completion of the 4-year training, candidates will be conferred with an Engineering degree. No retroactive seniority will be granted based on this degree. Throughout the training period, candidates may be relegated a maximum of two times for academic reasons as per the JNU Ordinance. Further relegation on academic grounds will result in withdrawal from training.
The Indian Army TES 53 Admit Card 2024 will be released following the announcement of the SSB Interview dates by the Indian Army. Call Up letters for the SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centres to candidates' registered email IDs and via SMS only. Once the admit cards are issued, updates will be provided on this page accordingly.
Indian Army TES Final Selection Result 2024 will be declared once the merit list is prepared on the basis of SSB Interview and JEE Main Examination marks. The final merit list will be posted on the Directorate General of Recruiting website prior to induction for pre-commissioning training. It's crucial to note that merely qualifying at the SSB interview does not ensure final selection. Merit will be determined based on the candidate's marks in the JEE Main examination and the SSB, with weighting decided by the Indian Army. Higher educational qualifications, past performances, NCC background, etc., do not influence the final merit list. Joining letters for pre-commission training at the Cadets Training Wings will be provided solely based on the availability of vacancies and the candidate's medical fitness.

Gentlemen cadets will receive a stipend of ₹56,100/- per month, which is equivalent to that of NDA cadets after completing 3 years of training. Upon completing 4 years of training, they will be commissioned as Lieutenants and entitled to the corresponding pay scale. Additionally, they will receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance and Kit maintenance allowance.
