The Italian men’s tennis team, led by world No.1 Jannik Sinner, successfully defended their 2024 Davis Cup title by defeating the Netherlands 2-0 in the finals. The Italian team won their third Davis Cup after victory in 1976 and 2023.
For the first time in its Davis Cup history, the Netherlands team was appearing in the final for the first time.

In the final world No.1, Jannik Sinner defeated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 7-6 (2), 6-2 to take an unassailable lead in the best-of-three match against the Netherlands.
Earlier, in the first match of the final, Italian Matteo Berrettini demolished Botic van de Zandschulp 6-4, 6-2 to set the tone of the final. With the Italian team 2-0 up, there was no need for the doubles match.
The Davis Cup win concluded a terrific 2024 year for Jannik Sinner. In 2024, Jannik Sinner remained unbeaten in the 70 matches of the ATP tour and has won eight singles titles, including the Australian Open, the US Open, and the ATP Finals. He finished the 2024 season as the world's No. 1 ranked ATP player.
