The Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Electronics & Information Technology Rajeev Chandrashekhar attended the 26th Bangalore Tech Summit 2023 at Bangalore Palace on 30 November 2023.

Roundtable discussion with startups:

During this, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar also participated in a roundtable discussion with startups, in which many experts from the ITE industry are also participating.
Chandrashekhar also participated in an in-depth discussion with Mrs. Jaya Jagadish, Country Head and Senior Vice President, Silicon Design Engineering at AMD India.
During this, STPI IT Export Award was also given by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar.

Discussion on Startups Eco-System:

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar shared his views on the remarkable growth of India's startup eco-system since 2014. In this, special focus was given on areas like artificial intelligence, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing and deep technology.
The Minister highlighted India's growing role as a trusted technology partner amid the ongoing dynamic changes in global price and supply chains.

More than 30 countries are participating in the three-day event:

More than 30 countries are participating in this three-day (29 November to 1 December 2023) programme, in which 400 domain experts participated.
With the presence of more than three thousand delegates, 350 startups are being showcased in this event and 100 bio posters were presented by young researchers.
There are more than 5,500 IT and ITES companies providing employment in Karnataka. It is expected that this summit would accelerate trade and investment in the country.

Bangalore Tech Summit (BTS):

The event is organized by the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, S&T, Government of Karnataka. It is jointly hosted by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
First Tech Summit was formerly known as Bangalore IT.com. It was inaugurated by then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998.

These include a multi-track conference on IT and Electronics, Deep Tech, Start-ups and Biotech, an international exhibition on 'Global Innovation Alliance', India-USA Tech Conclave, R&D-Lab2 Market, B2B.
