Dr. Ritu Karidhal and Naveen Tiwari Gets Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman

On the Uttar Pradesh day, 24 January the state government will honour Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman to Dr. Ritu Karidhal and Naveen Tiwari.

• Scientist Dr. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, belongs to lucknow. She was a Mission director in Chandrayaan Mission.
• Naveen Tiwari, entrepreneur from Kanpur, regularly appears on the covers of magazines like Forbes, Fortune etc. 
• Both were selected by the committee for Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman. 

About Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman

• The Uttar Pradesh government had stopped the Yash Bharti a few years back and replaced it with Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman.
• Various disciplines and fields such as art, culture, agriculture, entrepreneurship, skill development, science and technology, literature, education, sports, social service, environment and women's empowerment are associated with distinct personalities. 
• Those who have achieved excellence in these fields at the national and international level will be honored with the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman award, which includes a cash prize of Rs. 11 lakh for each recipient.

About personalities

Dr. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava

• According to the information received from the state government, the scientist selected for Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman, Dr. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, is a resident of Lucknow. 
• She has played an important role in the development of India's Mars Orbiter Mission, Mangalyaan. 
• She was also the Deputy Operations Director of this mission. Mangalyaan was one of the biggest achievements of ISRO. 
• This made India the fourth country in the world to reach Mars.
• Dr. Ritu Karidhal completed her B.Sc. in Physics from Lucknow University. She has been a research scholar in Lucknow University for six months. 
• She was awarded the honorary degree of D.Sc. (Honorary Doctorate) by Lucknow University during the Annual Convocation 2019. Karidhal has been working for ISRO since 1997.
• She has also been to IISc, Bangalore to pursue a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Naveen Tiwari 

• Naveen Tiwari of Kanpur, who regularly appears on the cover of magazines like Forbes and Fortune, is making Uttar Pradesh and India proud in the world. 

He created two unicorns and gave India its first unicorn InMobi. He has established the largest independent mobile ad tech platform in the world, connecting local businesses across Uttar Pradesh and India with national-international audiences.
