Sarang Helicopter Display Team to showcase at Singapore Airshow 2024

Indian Air Force's Sarang Aerobatic Team is all set to demonstrate spectacular aerobatics maneuvers at the Singapore Airshow from 20 February 2024. This aerobatics maneuver will be organized at the Changi Exhibition Center in Singapore from 20 to 25 February 2024.

More than a thousand companies from more than 50 countries and regions are participating in this five-day aerobatics maneuver programme.
Major helicopter and system manufacturers and operators also showcase their products at the airshow.

ALH 'Dhruv' helicopters will participate:

The Sarang Helicopter Display Team, formed in 2003, made its first international public display at the Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore in 2004.
A team of 71 personnel from the Indian Air Force's Sarang Helicopter Display Team will participate in the mega event with five Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) 'Dhruv'.
Designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Dhruv is an all-weather multi-mission capable helicopter. The helicopter's features also make it suitable for military roles.
The Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv) is operated by the Sarang team. Attending the show for the first time. However, the Sarang team's first international appearance was also in Singapore in 2004 for the Changi Exhibition Center Asian Aerospace Airshow.

Sarang has demonstrated maneuvers at more than 385 places:

The Defense Ministry said that the Sarang Display Team has demonstrated its maneuvers more than 1200 times at more than 385 locations across the world.
The Sarang team is showcasing four helicopters to the audience at this year's Singapore Airshow. The display will showcase the efficiency and versatility of the Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv. It is also designed to showcase the high level of skill of the Indian Air Force pilots who fly these machines.
The indigenously built Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv and its advanced variants are operated by all military services of India. The successful induction and operational use of this platform is one of the spectacular success stories of self-reliance in the defense sector.

World's 20 top aviation companies are participating in the airshow:

According to Airshow organizer Xperia MD Leck Chet Lam, 20 of the world's top aviation companies are participating in the Singapore Airshow. Mainly among these

16 countries like China, Czech Republic and Korea are participating in this programme.
