Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism 2021, 2022 Announced Award and Honour 5 min read

The 17th edition of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards was conferred to journalists in 13 categories in a ceremony held in New Delhi on 19 March 2024. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest of the award ceremony.

The 4 member jury which selected the winners in various categories included former Chief Election Commissioner  SY Quraishi, former Supreme Court Judge Justice B N Srikrishna, K G Suresh and Dr C. Raj Kumar.

Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards

The Indian Express Newspaper instituted the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in memory of the newspaper founder Ramnath Goenka. The annual award was first given in 2005.

The Awards celebrate excellence in journalism, recognise courage and commitment and showcase outstanding contributions and individuals every year. 

The prestigious annual award in the Indian media pays tribute to journalists from print/digital and broadcast media who maintain the highest standards of their profession.
