Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth about Rs 7300 crore in Jhabua (MP), on February 11, 2024. During this, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda were present along with the Prime Minister.

  • These development projects will benefit important tribes of the area and strengthen the water supply and drinking water system. Besides, the road, rail, electricity and education sectors will also get a boost in Madhya Pradesh.

Benefit to two lakh women under food subsidy scheme:

  • The Prime Minister distributed the monthly installment of food subsidy under the Food Grant Scheme to about two lakh women beneficiaries.
  • Madhya Pradesh scheme provides Rs 1500 monthly for nutritious food to women in special backward tribes.

Beneficiaries of Svamitva Yojana got 1.75 lakh rights records:

  • The Prime Minister distributed 1.75 lakh Adhikar Abhishek (Record of Rights) to the beneficiaries of the Svamitva Yojana. This initiative aims to furnish documentary evidence for land rights to the populace.

Transfer of Rs 55.9 crore to Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana:

  • Prime Minister Modi also transferred Rs 55.9 crore to 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.
  • This will be used for construction activities of Anganwadi buildings, fair price shops, health centres, additional rooms in schools etc.

Foundation stone of 'CM Rise School' in Jhabua:

  • The Prime Minister inaugurated the 'CM Rise School' in Jhabua by laying its foundation stone.
  • The school will integrate technology to provide modern facilities to the students like smart classes, e-library etc.

Foundation stone of Tantya Mama Bhil University:

  • Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone of Tantya Mama Bhil University, which will provide facilities to the youth of tribal dominated districts of the state.

PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many projects:

  • Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects that will strengthen water supply and drinking water provision in Madhya Pradesh. Mainly among these

Talwara Project:

  • The projects whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Modi include 'Talwara Project'. This is a drinking water supply scheme for more than one thousand villages of Dhar and Ratlam.
  • 14 urban water supply schemes under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 are benefiting more than 50 thousand urban households in several districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Tap Water Scheme:

  • Prime Minister Modi also dedicated to the nation the 'Tap Water Scheme' for 50 gram panchayats of Jhabua. It will provide tap water to about 11 thousand houses.
  • Foundation stone of redevelopment work of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway station.
  • During the program, the Prime Minister dedicated several railway projects to the nation and laid the foundation stone. These also include the laying of the foundation stone for the redevelopment work of Ratlam Railway Station and Meghnagar Railway Station.
  • Redevelopment of these stations will be done under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Major railway projects dedicated to nation during this period include:

  • Projects of doubling of Indore-Dewas-Ujjain Sea Cabin Railway Line;
  • North-South Grade Separator with Itarsi Yard Remodelling;
  • The third line connects Barkheda-Budni-Itarsi.
  • These projects aim to enhance rail infrastructure, cutting travel time for both passenger and freight trains.

Road development projects worth Rs 3275 crore dedicated to the nation:

  • The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation several road development projects worth more than Rs 3275 crore in Madhya Pradesh. These mainly include:
  • Four-laning of Harda-Betul (Package-I) from Km 0.00 to Km 30.00 (Harda-Temgaon) of NH-47;
  • Ujjain Dewas section of NH-752D;
  • Four-laning of Indore-Gujarat MP border section of NH-47 (16 km)
  • Four laning of Chicholi-Betul (Package-III) Harda-Betul of NH-47;
  • Ujjain Jhalawar section of NH-552G
  • These initiatives will enhance road connectivity, fostering economic development in the region.
  • Apart from this, PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of other development initiatives like waste dumpsite remediation and electric substation.
