'Education to Entrepreneurship' Initiative Launched

The Union Education Ministry, Union Ministry of  Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and the social media giant  Meta (formerly Facebook) has launched a 3 year partnership "Education to Entrepreneurship: Empowering a generation of students, educators and entrepreneurs”.

The partnership was launched officially by the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on 4 September 2023. 

Speaking at the event Dharmendra Pradhan said that ‘Education to Entrepreneurship’ partnership will build capacities of our talent pool, seamlessly connect students, youth, workforce & micro-entrepreneurs, with futuristic technologies and transform our Amrit Peedhi into new-age problem solvers and entrepreneurs.”

Main features of the Agreement 

3 Letters of Intent (LoI) were exchanged between Meta and NIESBUD(National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development), AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) and the CBSE(Central Board For Secondary Education).

Under the agreement with NIESBUD , Meta will train 5 lakh entrepreneurs in digital marketing skills in the next three years .

Initially the training will be provided in 7 regional languages through Meta platform.

The  NIESBUD(National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development) comes under the Union Ministry of Ministry Skill Development & Entrepreneurship . CBSE and AICTE come under the Union Ministry of Education.
