Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that wonderful efforts have been made to conserve solar energy in Sanchi of Raisen district. Sanchi is the first solar city of Madhya Pradesh.

Sanchi is a city that is situated on the Tropic of Cancer and is ideal for soaking the sun's energy. Principal Secretary (energy and renewable energy) Sanjay Dubey said that the work of developing Sanchi as a solar city is complete.

The plan includes rooftop solar panels, solar parks, and wind energy, among other projects. Two solar stations of 5 megawatts (Mw) and 3 Mw capacity are established in the town. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ensured that this project will bring electricity to every house in the city of Sanchi.
