Senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary has been appointed as New Director General of Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) as per the order released by the Personnel Ministry on 18 January 2024.
The Cabinet Committee of Appointments approved his appointment as the DG, SSB.
He is a 1990 Batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He currently holds the post of Special Director of the General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
He replaced Anish Dayal Singh (extra charge) who was given charge after former DG Rashmi Shukla became the first DG of Maharashtra Police.
Sashatra Seema Bal was incepted in 1963 in the wake of the Indo-China War of 1962.
